Frequently Asked Questions

What does Ross Daniel Adaptive Apparel® design and manufacture?

We are a new company with a long-term strategy that encompasses adaptive fashionable apparel for children, teens and adults with special needs. We are focusing our initial efforts on children and teens with the first line of fashionable socks for AFO wearers.

What’s different about RDAA’s sock line for young AFO wearers?

Currently, the market offers two styles of ankle-foot orthotic socks for kids and adults: white and black. If you look at our socks, we’re anything but black and white.

Based on extensive research, personal experience and feedback from professionals, including pediatric physical therapists and orthotists, we know that special needs kids and teens, in particular, want to be able to express themselves through fashion just like their mainstream peers. They don’t want to wear socks that were made for grandma.

Our AFO socks for kids and teens are made from comfortable, highly absorbent material and they are uniquely designed with fun, colorful prints, so physically challenged kids get to make a statement, too.

What are the socks made from? Should I be concerned about skin allergies or irritation?

The socks are made from 80% cotton and 20% nylon. There should be no concerns about skin allergies unless you are allergic to cotton or nylon.
How many sizes are there and how do I measure my child accurately?

Medium Stretch fits orthotic 10”- 14” high and shoe size 2 ½ – 6
Large Stretch fits orthotic 15”- 18” high and shoe size 5-10

Do you offer special pricing to professionals and institutional purchasers?

Yes, we do provide discounts based on quantities ordered. Please contact us.

How long does it take to receive product once ordered?

The socks are sent via the post office, first class mail, which usually arrives in 2-4 business days.

The socks are manufactured in Turkey.
